About YMCA Youth For Causes:

Youth For Causes (YFC) is a community initiative that was started by the YMCA of Singapore in 2003. The programme is a catalyst to promote social entrepreneurship and community leadership development among Singapore youth. It provides youth aged 15 to 25 with a platform which includes seed funding, training, and volunteer mentorship for executing self-initiated projects to raise public awareness, funds and mobilize volunteers for social service agencies (SSA) of their choice.

Empower lives as a YFC 2026 Judge!

The panel of judges is made up of a group of experienced professionals who are passionate about youth development and community service. As a YFC judge, you will get to assess youth teams who will share about their project of championing social causes through the YMCA Youth For Causes programme.

Your presence and feedback will go a long way in creating a lasting impact in their lives!

YFC 2026 Timeline

  • Team Registration: Now to 26 Apr
  • Ground Up Day: 11 Apr
  • Selection Interview: 16 May
  • Official Launch: 28 May
  • Implementation Period: End May to Mid Sep
  • Final Project and I&E Submission: 27 Sep
  • Project Showcase: 31 Oct
  • Awards Showcase & Celebration: Jan 2027

YFC 2026 Selection Interview (Online)

Teams will pitch their proposals on how they will champion their social causes through raising public awareness, funds & mobilizing volunteers.

Judges are to select teams who will receive S$1,200 in seed funding, mentorship and training.

Date: Saturday, 16 May
Time: 8.30am to 1:00pm
Platform: Zoom

YFC 2026 Project Showcase (In-Person)

Teams will share the outcome of their projects.

Judges are to select the outstanding teams to be shortlisted for the final round of judging at the YFC Awards Showcase one week later.

Date: Saturday, 31 October
Time: 8.30am to 1:00pm | 12.30pm - 5.00pm
